Robert Gordon University is giving its community a voice and continuing its reputation for academic innovation with the launch of a new official podcast this week.
Launching tomorrow (Thursday 1 March), RGU Talk will be dedicated to sharing stories from across RGU’s community of staff, students, alumni and senior management.
The fortnightly episodes will be made up of interviews covering all manner of topics, including expert opinion, interesting research, societal issues, student and academic case studies, as well as campus event coverage.
It will be hosted by RGU Communications Officer, Jonnie Milne, whose own podcasting ventures have hit the headlines in recent years.
His geek and pop culture show Chatterating broke into the iTunes TV and Film top 10 in late 2016, while Curious Tales, a podcast in which he retells classic ghost stories, held the No.1 spot in the iTunes Arts chart in August 2017.
Speaking on the launch of RGU Talk, Jonnie said: “The way people interact with the media has changed drastically over the last 10 years. With this in mind, we at RGU have been looking for new and exciting ways to engage with our audience.
“I look forward to sitting down with members of the RGU community to share their thoughts, stories and experience over the weeks and months to come.”
RGU Talk launches on Thursday 1 March and will be available on SoundCloud, iTunes through Apple Podcasts and on YouTube.
