Robert Gordon University (RGU) is hosting an international research conference this week which has attracted delegates from around the world.
The 55th International Conference on the Bioscience of Lipids (ICBL) will be held at the university’s Riverside East building from Monday, June 23 to Friday, June 27.
The event has been dedicated to the memory of Professor Alan Garton, a founding father of the Scottish Lipid Discussion Group who conducted pioneering work into lipids and founder member of ICBL.
The conference will include a range of sessions including plenary lectures, invited symposium speakers, hot topics sessions and themed poster sessions.
Topics which will be covered at the conference include:
- Lipid Modulators of Inflammation and Immunity
- Modified Fatty Acids and Lipids
- Endocannabinoids: Synthesis and Function
- Phytolipids - A Vision for the Future?
- Lipidomics - What's Next?
- Lipids in Whole Body Systems
- Membrane Lipid Trafficking
