Antonia Panetta (21) will graduate at 10.30am on Wednesday 15 July with a BA (Hons) in Social Work from Robert Gordon University. She will be watched on stage by her aunt and Godmother Alison McLennan, senior lecturer for practice education at the University's School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Antonia, originally from Cupar in Fife, said: 'I found the course to be particularly challenging at times, however I really enjoyed my four years at Uni, especially going out on placements at Mental Health Aberdeen, Cornerstone Community Care and Voluntary Service Aberdeen. I also made some fantastic friends during my time at University and couldn't have done it without them!
'I also would not be graduating today without my Auntie Alison as she provided me with a hot meal once a week and supported me at times of stress! She was the one who encouraged me to go to Robert Gordon University in the first place, a decision that I've never regretted!'
Antonia is currently looking to begin her social work career in Dundee with a view to gaining experience and perhaps work overseas in the future.
