Application Procedure

Students interested in studying at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht will be nominated by RGU. Nominated students will then receive an email from HU Utrecht with information on the application procedure, including an application guide.

Students will need to follow the instructions in the application guide in order to complete their application, in addition to the application some other documents will also need to be sent to HU Utrecht including; A completed and signed Learning Agreement, A Transcript of Records, A Motivation Letter, A Proof of Language (if applicable), and potentially some others.

Shortly after the application deadline HU Utrecht will consider student applications and will contact students directly to let them know whether they have been successful.

Accommodation is not provided by HU Utrecht, but the University will help students to find accommodation in Utrecht.

Average cost of rent per month

Between € 350,- and € 650,-

Depends on the residence, rooms tend to come furnished with a bed, desk, chair, storage space, etc.

Laundry facilities in the residences

Depends on the residence, generally yes. 

Cooking facilities or meals provided

Cleaning service and how frequent

Depends on the residence, but it is very uncommon to have cleaning services in the Netherlands. At most, common areas will be cleaned but not student rooms.

Other Relevant Information

Housing is limited in Utrecht, so students are advised to apply for accommodation as early as possible. HU Utrecht advises students to apply for housing by the 01 June for First Semester and Full Year exchanges, and by 01 December for Second Semester exchanges.
