External Scholarships

Robert Gordon University welcomes international students who are funded or sponsored by various sponsoring governments, ministries and other organisations. If you are seeking financial assistance to study in the UK, you may wish to discuss this with the Ministry of Education in your home country, who may be able to advise you on your own government’s support programmes for study overseas.

The British Council in your country will also be able to advise you of any other UK scholarship programmes for which you may be eligible.

The following are some country specific sources of funding:

The Centre for International Programmes (CIP) in Astana manages the programme on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Education.

Robert Gordon University is pleased to welcome several Bolashak scholars to Aberdeen each year. You may apply through the Centre for International Programmes in one of two ways: you may either ask the CIP to locate a university place for you, or you may obtain an offer of admission to a university and then apply for the Bolashak funding. Our students tend to choose the second option, as this can speed up the process of obtaining a scholarship.
