Sphagnum Art Exhibition

Ethnobotanical artist Fiona Swapp, who is undertaking a Masters in Fine Art at Gray's School of Art, has curated this Pre-Masters Show of her macro and microscopic photographic work.

The photographs in the exhibition on display, reveal the intricate network of patterns found inside Sphagnum moss, and is inspired by Fiona's Masters visual research which investigates and seeks to contextualise the medicinal application of Sphagnum and other plants, that were cultivated and collected in the North East of Scotland in the First World War era - a mostly forgotten history.

Exhibition opening on Tuesday 25 June from 16.30-19.00

Free of charge
