Computing and Engineering free taster sessions in Nigeria

Robert Gordon University senior academic staff will be running FREE Computing & Engineering taster sessions in Abuja & Lagos, Nigeria in November 2017 for anyone interested in studying the areas of Computing or Engineering at RGU.

Dr Eyad Elyan and Dr Gbenga Oluyemi, will be running tasters session for anyone interested in these subject areas.

    • Taster Session Title: Finding and unlocking oil and gas resources: A game of data 
    • Introduction – finding and unlocking the oil and gas in the rock 
    • The elements of the game of data – Gravity survey, magnetic survey, well log, seismic drilling data 
    • Current industry challenges – Data storage, processing, retrieval, automation 
    • Initiatives at RGU School of Engineering? – Synergy with School of Computing, industry etc. 
    • Case studies – grain size distribution profiling, decommissioning model 
    • Hands on practical workshop – try it yourself
