Duties and Responsibilities
Susan Lawrie is a Teaching Fellow and is course leader for the Part-time Business Management, Graduate Certificate in Management Studies and Graduate Certificate in Project Management courses. She has been Head of Year on the Undergraduate Management programme looking after the interests of around 250 first year students helping them with the transition to university life. The 'First Year Experience' is a particular field of interest for her.
She is also one of a team of Learning Enhancement Co-ordinators for ABS responsible for looking at Teaching and Learning issues across the university via a number of committees. She is involved in the marketing of the undergraduate programmes both locally and at overseas recruitment fairs as well as in the delivery of short courses to external commercial organisations.
Susan graduated from Aberdeen Business School in 1985 with an honours degree in Business Studies and joined an oil company graduate scheme (Conoco UK) where she worked in across the areas of finance and economics. She has also trained staff in Oil Industry Finance & Economics with MD Consultancy and has been working at the University since 1993.
