Dave began working in the care field in 1998 and qualified as a social worker in 2002. Immediately prior to joining RGU in 2009, Dave was responsible for the provision of inter-agency child protection training across the north east of Scotland.
Previous social work roles include both operational and strategic positions within a statutory child care team, a joint child protection unit and an area child protection committee.
In addition to these roles, he also worked in a number of other settings including: community based youth work , residential care with children with disabilities, residential and community work with children and adults with learning and physical disabilities, residential care with older people and centre based work with people experiencing homelessness.
