Duties and Responsibilities
Erica Cargill is a Senior Lecturer in Management. She is Programme Leader for the Undergraduate Management courses at Aberdeen Business School. The course portfolio comprises:
- BA(Hons) Management
- BA(Hons) Management with Finance
- BA(Hons) Management with HRM
- BA(Hons) International Business Management
- BA(Hons) Management with Marketing
Erica’s main teaching and research interests are in the areas of Learning and Development, specifically Work Based Learning and Professional Education and also Employee Resourcing and Talent Management.
Erica has an LLB (Hons) from Aberdeen University and an MSc HRM (with distinction) from Aberdeen Business School. She is currently working on a DBA thesis (2013-2018) which considers the impact of e-portfolio assessment on work-based learners.

2010 - $25,000 project funded by IAEER: Searching for Good Practice in the Development and Assessment of Non-Technical Skills
2009 - Accountancy Graduates; a Global Study. £6000 project funded by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland: Development of Relevant Non-Technical Skills in ICAS Trainees
Erica has been a Chartered member of the CIPD since 2000 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
