What is the current situation with RGU on and off campus events?
In order to safeguard the wellbeing of our university community, including those visiting the campus, the university has taken the decision to cancel all planned events until 1 June at the earliest. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. We will be looking to offer alternative arrangements where we can and you should revisit these pages regularly for the most up-to-date information.
Can I still submit an enquiry or application?
Yes, our Admissions Team will continue to process applications and respond to enquiries about your course of interest at this time. All other University services remain in operation.
What is the offer making timeline, has this been impacted?
We are unable to give a fixed timeline at the moment; our Admissions Team are necessarily working from home but rest assured we are doing all we can to turn applications around as quickly as we can.
What will happen if I cannot take my college or school exams?

How can I join if my exams or study has been cancelled?
If you are an Undergraduate applicant from the UK, whether Scotland or elsewhere, then please see the UCAS and government websites for the most up to date advice and guidance. You will see that we have agreed we need to be as flexible as possible, and our absolute focus is for you to be able to progress onto your chosen next steps:
Do I have to attend campus for my interview?
Alternative arrangements are being put in place and course leaders will be in touch to make you aware of what these are.
Can I defer if I need to?
Yes, this option is available in most cases. Given the exceptional circumstances we will work with you wherever possible to help secure a future place for your studies with us. If this is not possible for any reason we can offer advice and guidance on alternatives.

Should I still apply if I currently cannot leave my country?
The situation with COVID-19 is changing daily but we are still very much welcome all applications for September 2020. We will update our web pages regularly to communicate any change to this.
What if English language test centres are closed?
If we review your application and find that you do need to evidence your English ability we can still process your application and make an offer, assuming that subsequently you meet all other entry requirements. We can add a condition of English to any offer we make. You will then have time to arrange an English test in advance of joining RGU.

What if I can’t obtain relevant documents for my application?
It really depends on the document in question. Some documents are not required for us to make an offer but rather we need them before we can progress an offer to the next stage. What if visa centres are closed?
If your local office is closed OR you are not permitted to travel to nearby states or countries to attend a visa appointment then this will of course restrict your ability to apply for a visa. Visit the UKVI website for guidance, they are regularly updating the website with relevant information for your home country.
What about pre-sessional English programmes?
We do not have an update on this at the moment but we are looking at possible delivery online. Please revisit these pages for further updates in the coming weeks.
Are there extended deadlines for CAS?
We will offer flexibility where possible and will provide more detailed information on dates and final dates nearer the time.
What will happen to my deposit if I am unable to start at the scheduled time?
We will refund any monies paid in full if you are unable to start with us for your chosen intake as per our Refund Policy.
Can I still apply for funding?
If you would like to apply for funding via an external body we would recommend that you contact them direct and seek their specialist advice.
