Robert Gordon University (RGU) will put some of its city centre properties on the market this week as the university takes the next step in its campus development to move all its facilities to Garthdee.
The marketing of the buildings, which is being managed on the university’s behalf by property agents DTZ, includes a dedicated interactive web site showcasing the buildings for sale.
Potential development opportunities for the city centre buildings include hotel accommodation, commercial office space, residential use and student accommodation.
The university is currently in the middle of a 34,000m2 new build development with phase 1 due for completion on schedule in spring 2013. The marketing of the city centre buildings is the first step in phase 2 of the university’s masterplan with the premises at St Andrews Street, and the Clarke and Student Association buildings at Schoolhill going up for sale. The Technical building at Schoolhill has already been sold to Robert Gordon’s College.
Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, Principal of RGU said, “The new facilities at Garthdee will give our students an outstanding educational environment. Staff and students from different disciplines will benefit from working more closely together than has previously been possible and we will be better placed to engage with our professional and industry partners.”
Full details on the properties for sale can be found at www.rguschoolhillcampus.com or by contacting Mark Jones at DTZ on 0131 222 4544.
