Second degree for Corrie
Corrie Ewart graduated recently with an MSc Oil and Gas Engineering, the second time he has graduated from Robert Gordon University with Distinction.
The first time Corrie graduated from the University was in 1993, when he completed a degree in Quantity Surveying. After working as a Surveyor for several years, Corrie decided to join the growing area of subsea engineering in the oil and gas industry.
He joined BP in 2001 and in 2004 he embarked
on a career development path which would allow him to progress to the level of Subsea
Engineer within the company.
Corrie said: "Once I had identified my chosen career goal, BP set out what I needed to do to achieve it, and fully supported my development to achieve my goal.
"It has taken five long years to complete my MSc while working full-time but it's now worth it as I'm reaping the benefits. I enjoy my work and have landed the role I set out to achieve. Not being one to stay still for too long, my sights are now set on becoming Chartered."
