Prize-winning twins Mandy and Hayley Porter graduated together with Masters of Pharmacy with Distinction recently. The sisters also scooped many awards during their studies.
Mandy received the award of 'Student of the Year' in her first, second and third years and won an award for the module 'Pharmaceutical Care', while Hayley has also won several awards including the Tocher Prize.
Mandy said, "I really enjoyed the course as it has a good balance between the clinical and social aspects of pharmacy. The course is fast paced as it is a Masters degree over four years and has to be up to date with the rapidly changing profession. I found this very rewarding."
Hayley decided to study pharmacy because she wanted to have a career that was science based, but that also involved helping people. She added, "I came to study at Robert Gordon University because its School of Pharmacy has one of the best reputations in the country and the city is perfect for student life.
"I have found the course challenging but also very stimulating, rewarding and enjoyable. It definitely keeps you on your toes! The staff and facilities are absolutely fantastic and have really made the course worthwhile."
