Graduation success for local college girl
Jenna Ely graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Management recently, having embarked on her university studies as a direct entrant from Banff and Buchan College.
This meant that Jenna took advantage of the 2+2 arrangement the university has with colleges, to enable students who have completed an HND to enter into the third year of a degree course.
Jenna started the Robert Gordon University course in September 2006 along with a small group from the College. She said: "Since we were direct entry students we had an induction week which informed us about the University and gave us an introduction to coursework and optional modules.
"Initially when I started at RGU I was very concerned that I wouldn't manage the higher standard of work expected from us. However time soon passed and I was getting results which were quite good and my confidence grew bit by bit. I worked extremely hard and managed to achieve a First which I'm ecstatic about!"
