Creative Entrepreneurship

RGU’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group (EIG) and Look Again, part of Gray’s School of Art, bring together the vision and experience to support creative talent to thrive in the North East.

Culture and creative activity play a leading role in animating a city, its spaces and its people.

In 2019, we ran the Creative Accelerator Programme, supporting 12 creative businesses, covering a range of industries including visual art, fashion and textiles, design, crafts, broadcasting and performing arts. The programme provided business support, mentoring and masterclasses by creative industry leaders.

Building on the highly successful Creative Accelerator Programme, this year we have launched a fully funded 8-week, postgraduate short course, providing business development support for creatives in the North East. Whether you are starting up as a recent graduate or looking to take your existing business to the next level, we can help. The Creative Entrepreneurship short course has 6 taught sessions including an exhibition, taking place at the RGU ONE Tech Hub space and the Look Project Space.
