Whether you have always wanted to have a go or have experience and would just like the time to practice. - here's an opportunity to spend a whole day in the ceramics workshop at Gray's School of Art throwing at the potters wheel.

2. What you will study
This course will teach students the fundamental techniques, hints and tips on how to throw the perfect pot.
Our experienced tutor will give demonstrations on clay preparation, centering, turning and finishing clay on the wheel.
Students will learn to prepare their own clay before spending time creating their pieces.
All work will be fired after the class and be available to pick up and enjoy a week later.
Students will have the use of a wheel to themselves for the whole course.
3. Entry Requirements
This course provides an excellent introduction for beginners.
There are no formal entry requirements.
All students are required to be at least 16 years of age on the commencement of the course.

Course fee: £75 (All materials and firing provided)
Successful enrolment will be confirmed by email.
All students should be aware that when registering as a student at RGU they are accepting a contract of enrolment. (In order to attend short courses all students must register and accept RGU’s conditions).
A refund is only applicable where there has been illness with a medical certificate to support it.

Clothing: Throwing can be messy, so an apron or overalls would be advised. Bring older clothing and footwear as they may get splashed with clay.
A complete health and safety induction will take place on commencement of the course.
