Glass Engraving and Decoration (Intermediate | 6hr | EXTRA)
Spend the day at Gray's School of Art discovering the art of glass engraving and decoration with an experienced tutor on hand.
This course will teach students introductory techniques, hints and tips on how to hand engrave glass.
2. What you will study
This course offers an opportunity to gain hands on experience in several surface decoration techniques, particularly diamond stipple and flexible drive, and develop an understanding of the glass engraving process.
Students will decorate several glass objects over the period of the day - we will provide a wine glass for you to decorate initially but students should bring in a selection of glass objects and some images, text or decorative references to use in part of their project.

All students should be aware that when registering as a student at RGU they are accepting a contract of enrolment. (In order to attend short courses all students must register and accept RGU’s conditions).

Footware: the class will be held in the jewellery workshop. Students will need to appropriate footwear: no sandals, flip flops, heels or crocs are allowed.
All materials and equipment are provided
A complete health and safety induction with take place on commencement of the course.
