Jewellery: Make a Copper Pendant (Foundation | EXTRA)

1. Overview

Spend the day making a copper pendant in the jewellery workshop of Gray's School of Art, with an experienced tutor on hand.

Providing an excellent introduction to jewellery techniques mainly suited to beginners or those looking to brush up on elementary skills.

2. What you will study

Students can expect to be guided through the process of saw piercing, doming, shaping and finally finishing. All materials will be provided.

Students will be shown basic jewellery workshop practice and will make a copper pendant from start to finish.

3. Entry Requirements

Suitable for students with no previous jewellery experience.

All students are required to be at least 16 years of age on the commencement of the course.

All students should be aware that when registering as a student at RGU they are accepting a contract of enrolment. (In order to attend short courses all students must register and accept RGU’s conditions).

5. Additional Information

Students are encouraged to bring a sketchbook for taking notes.

Workshop tools will be provided by Gray’s School of Art.
All materials will be provided including copper.
A complete health and safety induction will take place on commencement of the course.
