Arbitration in Scotland Lecture
As part of a series of events to mark the achievements of the Law School, we are holding an inaugural lecture by the Rt. Hon Lord Hamilton (former Lord President of the Court of Session) on arbitration.
Arbitration is an essential method of dispute resolution. With the passage of the Arbitration (Scotland) Act 2010 and establishment of the Scottish Arbitration Centre, which is supporting this event, Scotland is well placed to become a major venue for domestic and international arbitration. Lord Hamilton’s lecture will provide a unique insight into arbitration and its future. In light of its potential impact on the Scottish business community, understanding arbitration is essential for all those in business, industry and the legal profession.
The lecture will be held on Tuesday 11 March, 6.30 - 7.30 pm at RGU, Riverside East building, Room N242
The lecture will be followed by a buffet reception. For catering purposes please register your attendance by 3 March 2014.
