Laboratory, Biomedical & Sports Sciences Placements: For students

Work based placements are an important part of the courses in Sports, Laboratory and Biomedical Sciences. They are a vital part of a professional education and prepare you for a successful career when you graduate from Robert Gordon University.

BiotechnologistUndergraduate Placement Opportunities

The following courses offer placements:

  • Applied Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) - A unique part of this course is a laboratory training programme in hospital laboratories during years 2 (for 7 weeks) and 3 (for 14 weeks) of the course.
  • Forensic Science BSc (Hons) - Students may undertake an optional paid 12 month placement in a scientific laboratory after year 3
  • Applied Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons) - There are two placements within the degree.  The first in year 2 and the second in year 3.  These are important opportunities for you to apply your academic knowledge to a real life situation, undertaking roles such as adult fitness testing, sports coaching or lifestyle advice.
