    A former pupil of Inverness Royal Academy who went straight into a job after leaving school before deciding he needed to challenge himself, has graduated with a BA (Hons) in Law and Management from RGU. David Munro (27) worked full time in Woolworths at Inverness then in a management role at Vue Cinema before returning to higher education.

    It was a proud week in the Jackson household in Aberdeen when 22-year-old Chloe Jackson and her dad Billy Jackson graduated from Robert Gordon University (RGU) within 24 hours of one another. First to graduate was Chloe who received a BA (Hons) in International Hospitality Management on July 12. The following day Billy, a lecturer in Occupational Health in RGU’s School of Nursing and Midwifery, graduated with a PGCert Learning, Teaching and Assessment (Nursing and Midwifery).

    A former Aboyne Academy pupil, who was encouraged to go to university after gaining an HND in Legal Services at North East Scotland College, who graduated with her second degree from RGU this week is heading to Boston to study for her Masters in Law.

    There will be three reasons for graduation celebrations in three different countries for Veronica Cunningham and her daughters Rachel and Zara this year. Veronica, originally from Sligo and Galway in Ireland but now based in Oslo, Norway graduated as one of RGU's first cohort of Doctor of Information Science (DInfSc) students. Rachel meanwhile graduates with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Parsons New School in Paris and Zara graduates with a BSc International Business Administration from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
