Total Computing Scholarship
Total is the world's fifth-largest publicly-traded integrated international oil and gas company.
Total has operations in more than 130 countries spanning all aspects of the petroleum industry, including Upstream operations (oil and gas exploration, development and production, LNG) and Downstream operations (refining, marketing and the trading and shipping of crude oil and petroleum products).
The Total Scholarship is open to second year students and offers £1,500 each year for the final two taught years of the course along with a paid year long placement and ongoing mentoring support.
The Total placement opportunity commences summer 2015.
The Total scholar will be required to participate in outreach activity for the School of Computing alongside senior colleagues from Total. The objective of the outreach activity is to raise awareness of careers in computing amongst school pupils whilst developing the Total scholars' presentation, communication and professional skills.

How to Apply
The scholarship award is linked to the year long placement offered by Total and commences summer 2017.
The selection process begins with students completing an online application form which will be considered by a panel consisting of representatives from TOTAL In making the decision, the selection panel will take into account the applicant’s educational background and achievements, other relevant information given in their application form. Short listed candidates will be invited to attend an interview at TOTAL and the award winners will be selected from amongst this group of students.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 30 November. All applications must be received by the closing date in order to be considered for the scholarships. Completed forms should be submitted to email@example.com
