MBA Leadership Week

MBA Leadership Week at Aberdeen Business School has been running since 2006. The event brings together our entire MBA programme cohort for an intensive combination of academic and practical workshops. This event is an excellent opportunity for students from across the MBA programme to network, learn and share their experiences. Students will benefit from a variety of leading industry speakers from academia and industry. Each session aims to develop a different aspect of your leadership skills and the event is hosted in the modern facilities at Aberdeen Business School, Garthdee.

MBA Leadership Week activities include: the Business simulation game; Leadership, skills and development training; a series of industry guest speakers; and culminates in a high profile dinner.

MBA Consultancy Project

The MBA Consultancy Project is designed to provide our MBA students with real-life experience of providing consultancy services to a client organisation. Students will work in teams of up to four students.

Examples of previous projects include: preparing investment ready business plans; completing market research studies; assessing strategic options for expanding SMEs; development of HR policies; evaluating and recommending business process improvements; application of knowledge management; and new product development.

The consultancy project provides mutual benefits to our students and their client organisations. Students will gain invaluable real-life experience and benefit from exposure to industry and employers, whilst employers will gain objective, independent advice and support from MBA students (business men and women with a minimum of three years’ managerial experience).
