Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment has an active and vibrant research community. If you undertake a research degree with us, you will work alongside, and be supported by, experienced researchers and academics.

  1. Innovation Skills

    This workshop for current RGU Research Students is delivered by Professor Gordon McConnell and gives students a good grounding in innovation-related topics such as creativity, ideation, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, technology commercialisation as well as key 21st century skills such as leadership and team development.

  2. Research in Architecture, Construction and Surveying

    Research students are located together with the research community to encourage peer support and are fully included in research seminars, debates and other activities.

    Funded research studentships are regularly offered by the University.

  • Design & Technology Research

    IDEAS

    Our Design & Technology Research develops novel technologies highly relevant to industry and generates creative spaces for new forms of practice in Engineering, Environmental Science, Computing, Architecture & Built Environment and Art & Design.

  1. 26, April, 2018 Connected Transport Systems

    Aberdeen City Council, Robert Gordon University and the University of Aberdeen have collaborated to organise a series of evening talks on the theme of ‘Connected Transport Systems of the Future’ which will run from February to May 2018.
