The Academic Affairs Department is responsible for administering the University's invigilation process for examinations.
The relevant procedures and guidance have been compiled into a Handbook entitled Procedures for Administering the Examination Process - a hard copy of this is issued to all External Invigilators. Each section of the Handbook can be accessed below.

Section 1: External Venue Information (including Maps)
A number of external venues are used to accommodate the University's exams, including RGU SPORT. Section 1 of the Handbook contains postal addresses and maps.

Section 2 contains information for External Invigilators on their duties related to written exams, including standard announcements.
Section 3: Guidelines and Guidance Notes
Section 3 contains a range of guidance for both External Invigilators, staff and students on: the use of calculators, dictionaries and EDPAC sheets in exams, anonymous marking, and religious observance during exams.

Section 4: Examinations for Students with Alternative Arrangements
Section 4 provides guidance for External Invigilators on exams for students requiring alternative arrangements e.g. use of a computer, scribe, reader.
Section 5: Health and Safety
Section 5 provides guidance for External Invigilators on health and safety issues e.g. medical issues arising in exams, fire evacuation, working in severe weather.
Section 6: Computer Aided Assessment (CAA) Examinations
Section 6 provides guidance for External Invigilators on students sitting Computer Aided Assessments, including exam announcements.
Section 7: RGU Floorplans
For use by External Invigilators. School Offices are marked to indicate where Senior Invigilators collect/return exam papers.
