The supported Wi-Fi network for staff and students at RGU is eduroam. This guarantees secure access to the internet and is available in most areas of the Garthdee Campus and Schoolhill.
Getting access – RGU Staff and Students
Setting up a connection to eduroam is easy:
New students and staff: please ensure that you have reset your initial password
- Select ‘eduroam’ from your list of wireless connections and enter your RGU credentials, i.e. email@example.com and password (Where username = Student or Staff ID)
- Accept the certificate setup instruction if prompted.

Visitor to RGU?
If you are visiting RGU from an institution that participates in the eduroam scheme, you can connect to the “eduroam” SSID however you are required to configure your device in advance while at your home institution. While connected to RGU’s eduroam service you should use the credentials supplied by your home institution
We also provide access to the _The Cloud for visitors. When you connect to this service you will have to create an account. It offers free internet access for 3 hours total per day per device. University staff and students should use the secure and constantly free eduroam wireless service instead.
