Our Employability team are committed to supporting you throughout your career, providing advice and opportunities for making the most of your time at university, individual discussions about possible career options through to decision-making and support through the application process.

Counselling & Wellbeing

Studying at University is an exciting and rewarding experience. For some it also brings changes which might at times be difficult and stressful. The Student Counselling & Wellbeing Service is here for you.

RGU campus

RGU will be providing free sanitary products on campus as part of the Scottish Government's Period Poverty initiative.

The Inclusion Centre: Disability & Dyslexia

The dedicated team at the Inclusion Centre are on hand to provide you with information and advice to support you through your time at RGU.

IT Facilities & Helpdesk

There are approximately 2,500 IT workstations that serve a user population of around 9,000 full time students and 1,500 members of staff.

The Law Clinic

The Law Clinic provides free, confidential and reliable legal advice to members of the local community who cannot access legal services elsewhere.

Medical Services

It is important to register with a doctor (GP) as soon as you arrive in Aberdeen.

Religious Support

Our chaplaincy service is available for people of all faiths and none.

Report & Support

Our online platform enables anonymous or named Gender Based Violence disclosures, offering direct help in complete confidence and detailed guidance & specialist support.

ResLife

RGU ResLife ensures that all RGU students benefit from their University experience and have all the available resources on hand to help them succeed personally, socially and academically.

Student Help Point

From travel to tuition fees, accommodation to application forms and finance to free time, the Student Help Point can help whether you are on campus or online.

Working in partnership with RGU:Union, the Student Life Department is on hand to provide you with advice, support and assistance if you’re managing various responsibilities of academic life, pregnancy and parenthood.

The Study Skills team offer advice on a range of study skills, supporting you in meeting your academic potential, and in becoming a confident, independent learner.

Going to university isn’t just about getting a degree, there is an entire lifestyle that comes with being a student. Studying is a big part of the experience, but there are also many opportunities available which will allow you to try new things, meet new people, and make the most of your free time.

A trusted contact is similar to your next of kin. They are the person we will contact if there is a serious concern about your welfare. Reasons for contact may include a medical emergency such as admittance to hospital, concern for your wellbeing, you have gone missing or you displaying symptoms of serious physical or mental illness or concerning behaviour.

Visa and Immigration Advice

As an International Student at RGU there is a range of immigration information, advice and guidance that the Student Immigration Team can offer you.

Transition Support

Taking that next step to university is exciting, but we understand it can be daunting, particularly if you are moving from a different city. We have nearly 20 years of experience in helping students transition from college to university and have a range of support in place should you need it.
