As a distance learner you can request that journal articles, chapters of books, conference papers and tables of contents in the library stock be photocopied or scanned for you.

There is a charge for this service.

How can I request an item be photocopied or scanned?

Just follow these steps:

  • Search the Library Catalogue to make sure the item is in stock.
  • Copy the details into the Photocopy Scan Request Form below, using a separate form for each request.
  • Please read and complete the copyright declaration section of the form. UK Copyright legislation applies to any photocopy request that you make.

How will I receive my items?

Scanned items will be sent to your RGU email address or print copies posted if requested. For more information about the scheme please see our Library Policies page.

What are your charges?

Black and white copies cost 4p per A4 sheet (8p for A3).

How can I pay?

You can credit your copying account using the University's online print payment system. The minimum payment is £5.

Please credit your copying account before submitting your request.  We will debit your account by the required amount.

Please note that it is not possible to refund money paid, but the money will be carried forward to the next academic year.
