Patrick has worked in Social Work for eighteen years and joined Robert Gordon University in 2003. His experience includes working with Barnardos at Craigerne School, Peebles which provided a therapeutic environment for boys under 12 years old; in a Young People's unit in Edinburgh; Children and Families Social Worker in the Scottish Borders; Unit Manager of a Secure Unit in Edinburgh; Senior Social Worker,Children and Families, Scottish Borders, managing two area offices with particular reference to Child Protection. He has also acted as Curator ad Litem in a number of Family Law cases.
Patrick's first degree was in English, Fine Art and Film & Media, taken at Stirling University. He returned there to qualify in Social Work.
