Therapeutic Photography 30 credits at SCQF level 7

1. Overview

This 12 week online module will teach the underpinning principles of this new intervention and demonstrate how practitioners can use this approach in their practice.

The module will look at the benefits of using this approach, both for the practitioners, and the clients, and will use theory to illustrate how to use photographs in practice to encourage and direct narratives.

Participants of the module will be guided through the process to consider working with photographs to explore self-image, relationships, environment, culture and society. To do this, the module delivers presentations, written guidance, journal articles, and an online discussion area, and participants will be expected to upload photographs, and contribute to discussions, on this forum.
