The IDEAS Research Institute is a multi-disciplinary research centre that develops novel technologies highly relevant to industry and generates creative spaces for new forms of practice.

IDEAS research builds on acknowledged international excellence in:

  • Engineering
  • Environmental Science
  • Computing
  • Architecture & Built Environment
  • Art & Design

It creates synergy by exploiting the rich potential of the interfaces between these diverse disciplines, developing novel technologies that provide innovative solutions and new knowledge in the form of critical practice.

Research in IDEAS is organised through three key themes:

    CUSP International Projects 50/50

    Sustainability researchers at RGU have been awarded more than £300,000 in funding to further develop their work which aims to create a viable marine energy industry in Indonesia.
