| Course Structure |
The Graphic Design course deals with web design, information graphics, corporate design and editorial and advertising design, enabling students to combine creative visual and intellectual skills with technical expertise. It explores the traditional skills of typography, layout, photography and illustration for print media, and expands those to the web and broadcasting media, adding elements of video, animation and interactivity. Students will learn to deal with client requirements and technical production issues and, through the use of project management techniques, stay within the limitations of the brief and the timescale. The financial and legal aspects surrounding design, including copyright and contractual issues, are further topics of examination. |
||
| Placement | Incorporates international exchange programme with other institutions in Europe | ||
| Career Opportunities |
Upon graduation you will be qualified to be employed in a wide range of communication industries, or to start up a business as a freelance designer or consultant. Today's profession covers web design, graphic design, multi-media, broadcasting, advertising and publishing and is continuing to grow and evolve |
||
