These terms and conditions apply to the use of online payment systems supplied by Robert Gordon University and any URL which may replace it in the payment process. By accessing the Website you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.
Definitions
- "University" means Robert Gordon University.
- "User" or "payee" means the third party accessing the payment facilities Website.
- "Website" means the online payment systems supplied by the University, which will normally have a URL containing rgu.ac.uk, and also any URL which may replace it during the payment process
- "WorldPay" is the University's online payment services provider.
- "GlobalPay" is the University's online payments Acquirer.
Indemnity
You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold the University, and its officers, governors, employees, agents and suppliers harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses.
Processing of Payments
The University accepts payments from all major debit and credit cards with the exception of American Express. Users will be routed to the WorldPay website for entry and processing of card details. WorldPay is a real-time payment system however there will be delays in the recording of transactions to the University's finance system of one working day. In the event of any difficulties with the system it is the payee's responsibility to confirm with the University whether a payment has been successful or not.
Cost of Transactions
The cost of all successful card transactions is borne by the University, no additional charge will be levied by the University against a payee's card or bill upon payment.
Privacy
We will treat all your personal information as confidential. All debit and credit cards are processed and held by WorldPay and Elavon within a secure payment site. At no point in time are card details held by Robert Gordon University.
Compliance with Laws
The Website may be used only for lawful purposes and in a lawful manner. You agree to comply with all applicable laws, statues and regulations regarding the Website and any transactions conducted on or through the Website.
Provision of Service
While we strive to ensure provision of an efficient and reliable Website we make no warranty that the Website will meet your requirements or will be uninterrupted, timely or error free. In the event of difficulties with the system it is the user's responsibility to confirm with the University whether a payment has been successful or not. Queries should be sent by e-mail to cash@rgu.ac.uk. Upon identification of any overpayments the University will refund the payments back to the debit or credit card used for payment.
Acknowledgement of Payment
Notification will be provided on screen upon completion of a successful payment.
