Robert Gordon University graduates are top of the class with employers

Figures recently released by HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) show that Robert Gordon University (RGU) Aberdeen, has strengthened its long-established record for being the top in Scotland for graduate employment.

HESA statistics, published in August, show that RGU remains at the top of the table in Scotland for undergraduates with 96% of graduates from 2009/2010 in employment or further study.

The university has also seen a significant increase in the percentage of its postgraduates in work or further study, which has risen from 88.9% in 2008/09 to 96.4% in 2009/10, ranking the university 2nd in Scotland.

Christine Buchanan, Dean of Students, welcomed the results: “The university has always placed a strong emphasis on equipping our graduates with the relevant knowledge and skills for the workplace. We pride ourselves on our strong links with industry and the opportunities for hands-on experience offered to students via placements and business interaction projects.”
