CampusMoodle Refresh
Friday, 05 August, 2011CampusMoodle Refresh
A Refresh of CampusMoodle, the University's online learning environment goes live on 5th August.
This introduces a new design, providing a new look, feel and functionality for users: CampusMoodle
This has been designed to:
- be more attractive and modern, reflecting contemporary web looks
- complement the look of the University's new external webpages (in Farcry)
- and crucially to promote engagement by students and staff in online learning activities
This has been shaped by:
- University strategy –to enhance the quality of our online learning environment and to encourage student engagement
- thinking and development work on the Professional-Development@RGU project
- feedback from Deans of Faculty, and e-learning staff within Schools
- DELTA evaluation and development work
There is greater flexibility to customise looks e.g. to:
- reflect different 'flavours' or distinctive products / services including the new Professional-Development@RGU online CPD product planned for launch in September 2011
- enhance accessibility for users with disabilities
There is greater flexibility for users to shape structures, content and functionality. We look forward to:
- working with users to help them make CampusMoodle really work for them
- using these interactions to continue to improve CampusMoodle
- showcasing examples of the ways in which staff use CampusMoodle
And THANK YOU
- to all CampusMoodle users within the University who have made the earlier version so successful; we hope you enjoy using the Refreshed version
- to all who 'have contributed to the Refresh: in schools; in support departments, in particular ITS; and the DELTA e-Learning team who led the project
