Writing Support

Many students feel that they would benefit from developing or enhancing their academic writing skills.

Depending on the individual needs of the student, a typical session might cover:

  • Understanding assignment questions
  • Structuring essays and reports
  • Writing effective paragraphs
  • Analytical writing
  • Academic writing convention and style
  • Drafting, reviewing and proofreading

In addition to academic writing skills, we can also offer guidance on:

  • Referencing and citation
  • Avoiding plagiarism
  • Critical thinking

Depending on demand, priority may be given to undergraduate students and students with dyslexia and or other specific learning differences.
