Interventional Radiology Nursing 15 Credits Level 9; ECTS points 7.5

1. Overview

You will develop the skills required to provide holistic care to patients undergoing interventional radiographic procedures.

This six month course will be delivered on-line through our virtual learning environment "CampusMoodle".

2. What you will study

Course Content - Review of gross anatomy; selective review of interventional procedures; urological, vascular, gastrointestinal, cerebral; haemodynamic monitoring; infection control; venous access; health and safety; national, regional and local standards and guidelines; characteristics of commonly used medications; valid consent; reflection.

3. Entry Requirements

The course is open to first level registered nurses.
