Outgoing Students

There are a number of benefits to taking a period of study or work abroad.

Although challenging, the experience can be extremely rewarding and you will develop your knowledge and skills by learning in a different social and cultural context.

While it is always a good idea to learn the language of any country you might study in - all RGU students who undertake a study abroad period will be taught in English!

What's more, students undertaking an Erasmus exchange (either study or work) may be entitled to receive a grant from the European Commission! All the credits you earn abroad will even count toward your RGU degree!

Not only that but a 2009 study found that 29% of students who had studied abroad were earning over £20,000, compared to 17% of students who had not studied abroad. The figure was even higher (37%) for students who had participated in an overseas work placement.

If you wish to take part in the Erasmus programme, you can find application forms and other practical information below.

Full information about international exchanges (non Erasmus) can be found here:

“I thoroughly enjoyed my Erasmus. I felt I learnt a lot about myself and I was able to see my strengths and weaknesses. I met a lot of good friends and I have made awesome memories. Thank you for giving me the opportunity!”
