IT Facilities
There are approximately 2,500 IT workstations that serve a user population of around 9000 full time students and 1,500 members of staff.
All workstations are linked together by a communications network that connects them to centrally delivered services and to the Internet via the JANET network. Centrally managed servers deliver file storage, print facilities, Internet access and e-mail facilities to all users. To support teaching and research activities we also deliver several hundred software applications which can be accessed from any workstation in the University.
Wireless and printing facilities are also on offer throughout the university.
