Welcome to the Faculty of Health and Social Care
As Dean I would like to personally welcome you to the Faculty of Health and Social Care, The Robert Gordon University.
Contemporary Professional Education
Together our four Schools offer a wide range of contemporary degree/professional qualifying courses and interdisciplinary learning experiences with the guarantee that all of our graduates are fit for purpose when they enter the workplace. During their time at university our students have access to some of the best and most modern learning facilities in the UK.
Research Portfolio
The Faculty’s growing research portfolio underpins its undergraduate, postgraduate, and CPD/Life-Long Learning provision. The Faculty is home to two specialist research centres: The Aberdeen Centre for Trauma Research (led by Professor David Alexander) and the Centre for Obesity Research and Epidemiology (led by Professor Iain Broom). Life Long Learning
Through our CPD provision we aim to support professionals in their current practice by assisting them in keeping their knowledge and skills up to date. In addition to its portfolio of named postgraduate awards the Faculty offers practitioners the chance to equip themselves with the tools necessary for role development and service redesign through the flexible provision of interprofessional/advanced profession specific masters level modules - through the Postgraduate Professional Studies Programme.
