RGU is supporting TechFest 2017, the 24th annual festival of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The opening 'Activity Weekend' will be held at RGU's Garthdee campus, as well as a number of events throughout the 'Public Programme'. These will allow audiences to explore science, technology, engineering and maths.

Activity Weekend 2017
On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 August, from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Activity Weekend will kick-off TechFest 2017 at the Sir Ian Wood Building. Over 30 hands-on workshops, shows and demonstrations will take place. Adults pay £1 and children pay 1p.
Wednesday 6 September
- The FABLAB Revolution @ MAKE - 6.30pm
An illustrated and informative talk that describes how 3D printing and digital fabrication is going to change the way we make and consume everyday products, and even change the way we cook
Saturday 9 September
- Drop in Workshops @ MAKE - 11am-12.30pm and 2.30pm-4.30pm
An introduction to the facilities at MAKE and get the chance to design and customise an illuminated paper lantern which you can take home with you.

- 3D Selfie Workshops @ MAKE - 2.30pm to 4.30pm
Scan and print a colour 3D self-portrait. Actually print a 3D scale print of your own head. This workshop will give you opportunity to see the fantastic creative opportunities that these new technologies of Digital 3D printing can offer.
