Before joining HP she was with Cisco for 14 years and held several titles within the company, including leadership roles in the US and Netherlands. Maggie has rich international experience having also worked and lived in France, Switzerland and Germany.

Maggie worked on secondment to Skills Development Scotland from 2009 to 2011. “Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never - in nothing, great or small…” Good counsel from Winston Churchill as he addressed a group of students in a world without ipods, tweets or “friending.” If we vary his advice a bit it’s even more relevant in today’s highly competitive business landscape. “Never give up” is a powerful recipe for how to survive and excel in the working world as well as throughout life.

Maggie will talk about this guiding principle that has grounded her during the inevitable challenges and rewards of working in the competitive, pressure-cooker world of IT.
