Duties and Responsibilities
Andrew Martin is senior lecturer and is Director of the Scottish Centre of Tourism (SCoT). The Centre has achieved national recognition for its research involving the investigation of skills shortages in the tourism/hospitality industry and entrepreneurship related to tourism small business enterprises (SMEs). Andrew continues to be involved in the Regional Hotel Association.

Andrew has extensive experience of working in the hospitality industry including: leisure club openings, as an HR Manager for a group, and General Management positions with Marriott/Swallow Hotels. He also has practical experience of developing people, demonstrating how this can influence bottom line profit. He is actively involved with the private sector, believing that effective public-private partnerships are the way forward for the industry.
