Role and Experience
Karen is a lecturer within the department of Accounting and Finance and is Course Leader for the MSc in Oil and Gas Accounting.
Karen trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte's and after several years experience in accounting practice, moved into the oil and gas industry. She has gained extensive experience in a variety of audit, accounting and senior financial controller roles in several international locations within large organisations such as Transocean and BP plc.
Karen joined the university in 2008 and teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate level including the MBA programmes. She has previously been involved with the Student Education Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
