Role and Responsibilities
Langes Supramaniam is a Lecturer in the Department of Management and Course Leader for MSc Project Management and MSc Quality Management courses. Langes has civil engineering qualifications (undergraduate and postgraduate) and built environment, supply chain management experience.
He has worked on mega projects and been involved in the built environment and construction project management. His teaching and industry experience ranges from project management, supply chain management, project strategy and leadership, commercial and contract management in projects, procurement, purchasing and quality management.
He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate business and management programmes. He has also delivered corporate programmes for Construction, Oil and Gas and Pharmaceutical industries.
He has professional affiliations and qualifications with chartered and professional institutions such as Chartered Surveyor with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), Chartered Building Engineer with CABE (Chartered Association of Building Engineers), Chartered MCQI CQP with CQI (Chartered Quality Institute, Chartered (MBCS, CITP) with BCS (British Computer Society), Chartered (CMILT) with Chartered Institute and Logistics (CILT), MCMI, member with Chartered Institute of Management (CMI), MIMIS, Professional Member with The Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS), APMP, MAPM with APM (Association of Project Management), PMP with PMI (Project Management Institute).
Langes' current research interests are in project management commercial, project finance, supply chain and costing integrity, project contracting, project success, project’s supply chain management, project’s risk management, supply chain strategy, supply chain design (modelling, simulation and optimisation), humanitarian project and supply chain management, supply chain finance and sustainability context in supply chain, programme management and portfolio management.
