Clare is a senior lecturer with responsibility for the MSc Social Work and Practice Learning within the School of Applied Social Studies.
Clare joined RGU in March 2004 and divides her role between course leading, lecturing, admissions tutor for the post-graduate course and acting as a personal tutor to students on the post-graduate course. She is currently a member of the adoption and permanence panel for Aberdeen City Council.
Clare has worked in a variety of social work settings in Aberdeen City since qualifying as a social worker in 1994. Her main experience was with the Community mental health team where she was employed as a social worker and also carried out statutory duties as a mental health officer. She also worked within the social work training team as a practice teacher, and prior to joining the staff team at RGU worked in the social work duty team.
