Three of Scotland’s east coast universities have launched a new institute aimed at becoming the global authority on offshore renewable energy.
Student Ambassadors are friendly, motivated students, who are passionate about life at RGU.
Each year we recruit undergraduate students from subject areas across the university who are available for work from September.

The role involves working with our Education Liaison Team to help promote the university at a range of events throughout the year. Duties may include:
- Representing RGU on campus at Open Days/visit afternoons/applicants days
- Visits to local secondary schools alongside members of our marketing team.
- Representing RGU at external events such as Careers Fairs
- Hosting campus tours
- Assisting the RGU marketing department with a variety of administrative tasks.
This is an extremely flexible role with the number of hours varying from month to month. We allow students to work as much as they feel able, fitting in with course work and exam schedules. As well as gaining excellent experience for your CV, Student Ambassadors will be paid an hourly rate of £7.52. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the role, we cannot guarantee a set number of hours per month. For more information, please download our information document.
Volunteer Student Ambassador Scheme
The Student Services Department also offers a Volunteer Student Ambassador Scheme.
Volunteer Ambassadors assist International Advisers, the Student Help Point, Accommodation and Library at the start of term. Flexible, part-time shifts are available. These positions are voluntary (ie non-paid) however rewards include being signed up to the Saltire Volunteering Award scheme and receiving a letter of recommendation, in addition to the satisfaction of helping new students with university life. This will be really helpful for enhancing your CV when it comes to looking for full-time work.
