Who are you?

I am a new RGU student

Your matriculation number or student number is also your RGU Username / logon ID

Once your place at the University is confirmed you are sent a letter or an email which confirms your personal Userid and initial password

Your initial password is temporary and you must first login to the RGU Password Management service to change your temporary password to a new secure one before you’ll be able to log into other RGU services such as RGyoU, CampusMoodle, wifi or email.

Please follow the Password Guidelines

After you have changed your password you should be able to access information about starting your course.

I am a new student who previously studied at RGU

Once your place at the University is confirmed you are sent a letter or an email which confirms your personal Userid and initial password.

Since you have previously studied at RGU please use the password that you previously used when you Graduated/left RGU.

I am a returning student

Returning students should login using the password that you previously used for accessing CampusMoodle, computers on campus, Wi-Fi and RGU email.

You may be issued a password for Online Enrolment but that password will not provide access to other RGU resources such as CampusMoodle, University email and computers on campus.

I am an alumnus of RGU/graduating soon

If you have graduated or are about to graduate, here is some of the information that you will need to know about your IT account.

  • Your IT account (email, wireless, library, portal, VLE and more) changes to an Alumni status around 120 days after Graduation and you’ll no longer be able to log into most RGU services.
  • Prepare for losing access to most other RGU services including computers on campus, myapps, RGyoU, wireless
  • Retrieve any files you need from your H drive
  • You can continue to use your RGU email account – Email for Life
  • Access RGU email via mymail.rgu.ac.uk. Login with your 'studentID@rgu.ac.uk’

I am RGU staff

You‘ll need a username and password to use the University’s computers, email, Wi-Fi, Library and VLE.

A Staff logon is 6 to 8 characters and may be all letters or a combination of letters and numbers.

A staff IT account is created following an update from the HR system to IT Services who then issue IT account information to the individual. If you are a new member of staff and do not have your logon information, contact your Line Manager and your HR Representative in the first instance.

I am a visitor to RGU

Visitors to RGU are unable to logon to computers on campus or other RGU services.

Visitors to RGU are unable to logon to computers on campus or other RGU services.  Visitors from other HE Institutions can use the eduroam wireless service if eduroam is available at their Institution; otherwise the RGU Guest Wireless service is available.  Visit our helpdesk pages for information on how to access eduroam and the RGU Guest network.

I'm not an RGU student or member of staff
