Please note your initial password is temporary and the first time you log into RGU services you are required to change it to a new secure password. A window will appear prompting you to do this. Please follow the Password Guidelines

If you do not change your initial temporary password to a new secure password then you will unable to use RGU services.

I am an alumnus of RGU/graduating soon

If you have graduated or are about to graduate, here is some of the information that you will need to know about your IT account.

  • Your IT account (email, wireless, library, portal, VLE and more) changes to an Alumni status around 120 days after Graduation and you’ll no longer be able to log into most RGU services.
  • Prepare for losing access to most other RGU services including computers on campus, myapps, RGyoU, wireless
  • Retrieve any files you need from your H drive
  • You can continue to use your RGU email account – Email for Life
  • Access RGU email via mymail.rgu.ac.uk. Login with your matriculation number only, without ‘@rgu.ac.uk’

I am RGU staff

You‘ll need a username and password to use the University’s computers, email, Wi-Fi, Library and VLE.

A Staff logon is 6 to 8 characters and may be all letters or a combination of letters and numbers.

A staff IT account is created following an update from the HR system to IT Services who then issue IT account information to the individual. If you are a new member of staff and do not have your logon information, contact your Line Manager and your HR Representative in the first instance.

I am a visitor to RGU

Visitors to RGU are unable to logon to computers on campus or other RGU services.
