This number is available 24 hours a day and is for use in the following circumstances:
- By University Staff who are part of an emergency response plan who have a need to escalate an ongoing incident
- By University Staff, University Students or other informants who need to report a serious incident that requires immediate and urgent response by the University
- By the emergency services, as part of the emergency response protocol or otherwise where a normal day time means of communication is not possible
